THE NAME

सन्धि

What SANDHI means:

Sāndhi is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning: a place where things meet—a joint, a connection, a union.

In Kristine’s teaching, it is the meeting point between strength and spirituality; between challenge and ease; and between yoga’s roots and an evolving understanding of the body.

“Arrive as you are, explore what your body can do, and build a practice that is truly your own.”

MEET KRISTINE

Movement came before the language for it.

Kristine, long before she knew these shapes had names.

Before Kristine had any exposure to yoga, she was instinctively finding her way into backbends, headstands and shapes she would later recognize on a yoga mat. Like many of us, movement was simply one of her earliest ways of exploring the world.

Kristine's formal yoga journey began through CorePower Yoga in Chicago, before her years living in New York introduced her to a broader range of teachers, traditions and approaches. She has completed 200-hour teacher trainings with CorePower Yoga in New York and ULU Yoga in Bali.

Kristine remains a curious explorer and student of yoga. She has practiced across the United States and while traveling in the United Kingdom, Portugal, Ireland, Mexico, Spain and Indonesia—always interested in learning from different teachers and ways of approaching the practice.

Healing through Yoga

Several knee surgeries from long-distance running and living with hypermobility also changed her relationship with movement. Her practice became less about how far her body could go and more about developing stability, patience and trust.

Her recovery journey taught her that flexibility is only one part of a meaningful practice—and that what a body can do is not always what it needs.

Kristine incorporates her years of physical therapy and rehabilitation knowledge into her classes to help students build strength safely and avoid injuries.

Registered with Yoga Alliance as an RYT 200, Kristine brings 400 hours of teacher trainings, 20 years of practice, and an enduring spirit of exploration to her teaching. Her classes are physically engaging, thoughtful, and adaptable, creating space for students to challenge themselves while adapting to their bodies and needs.

ROOTED AND INFORMED

Kristine draws from her formal training and continuing exploration of yoga’s physical, philosophical and spiritual traditions—approaching them with respect, curiosity and an openness to keep learning.

EXPLORE WITH CARE

Playfulness and exploration are welcome parts of the practice. Kristine helps students prepare for new and challenging poses through strength, alignment and thoughtful options, so they can explore safely and confidently.

SPACE TO BE HUMAN

You are welcome to arrive as you are. Each practice is an opportunity to pay attention, stay curious and explore without pressure or expectation.
